Being the first part of the Ozymandias series, this work represents the beginning of Ozymandias’s journey, one that leads from ambition and hope, to failure. Throughout the story, Ozymandias is deceived by the true nature of reality. Only by utilising these conflicts for his own benefit does he create his empire. The work transitions from isolated episodic moments to form a linear narrative chronicling the moral downfall of Ozymandias.
